Charles Woodson’s Collarbone “Feels Fine”
Charles Woodson returned to Ann Arbor, Michigan last weekend to participate in the annual Champions for Children’s Hearts charity weekend along with fellow University of Michigan alumni Brian Griese and Steve Hutchinson.
Per Michael Rothstein of AnnArbor.com, Woodson said his collarbone “feels fine” and that he will be ready for the start of the 2011 season.
Woodson broke his collarbone late in the first half of Super Bowl XLV, and despite not being able to finish the game, teammate Tramon Williams credited the look on Woodson’s face during halftime as the motivation to go out “and do what we needed to do.”
During the charity weekend, Woodson was also asked how much longer he would play football. He replied with the humility that has become indicative of his career as a Packer.
“I don’t know,” Woodson said. “As long as they’ll have me in Green Bay.”
I think it’s safe to say that the city of Green Bay would gladly have him stay forever.
