Thursday Is Charles Woodson Day

If it were up to Packers fans, every day would be Charles Woodson Day. But the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan has declared Thursday, April 28 as the official Charles Woodson Day.

To kick things off, Woodson and former Mott patient Max Merget, 16, threw out the first pitch at Comerica Park on Wednesday evening before the Mariners beat the Tigers.

On Thursday morning, Woodson will accept the first “Mott Champions for Children Award.” After the presentation, the Super Bowl champion will visit patients and pass out Mott bears wearing Charles Woodson T-shirts.

Last year, Woodson donated $2 million dollars to the Champions for Children campaign to help build the new Mott Children’s Hospital, which opens in November.
