Vikings and Packers Trivia and Notes
A number of interesting Vikings/Packers articles came across my feed reader today. Although no single article deserved an entire post, I can justify a post by combing a couple of them.
First, the Metrodome just got more exciting. Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the NFL RedZone Channel will be coming to Mall of America Field this season.
The Vikings, like other teams, will replace the old NFL Films highlights that have been shown in-stadium with a feed from the RedZone Channel, which airs live game look-ins when a team is at or inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
Zulgad also writes that he doesn’t know exactly how the channel will be displayed, but he says not to expect it while there is live action on the field.
The second bit of news to report today was some intriguing trivia that involved the Vikings and the Packers. IQFB.com asked the following question:
The Minnesota Vikings came into the NFL in 1961 and have had a fairly successful history in the league. Over the years they have had some successful offenses as well as some intimidating defenses.
Since they’ve been in the league, who has thrown the most touchdown passes against the Minnesota Vikings?
The answer isn’t all that surprising when you think about it, but the folks over at IQFB.com give you a top-5 list as well. (I’ll give you a hint: There are 3 Packers on the list.)
Oh, did you think I was going to provide the answer? Sorry. You’ll have to click here to find out.
